My 6 Perfect Branches Guide
INTERIOR STYLING
I love fresh branches vase arrangements! They can add some drama to your space and create a visually interesting focal point. Here are my 6 favourite plants that I usually use. Get inspired and invite some nature indoors.
No. 1 The Babylon Willow
The Babylon Willow branch is a showstopper. Best season to source is late Autumn or even Winter, when there are no leaves and it gives a beautiful architectural shape.
No. 2 The Amelanchier
An Amelanchier is a small garden tree or a shrub. My perfect season for sourcing is early Spring, when leaves and flowers are still very tiny and delicate.
No. 3 The Magnolia
Magnolia is a flowering queen. Its hudge flowers look best while still not fully matured.
No. 4 The Beech
So much green! The Beech tree is my favourite Spring and Summer branches source. Love its delicate leaves shape and density.
No. 5 The Smoke Bush
Late Summer favourite! This eye-catching purple leaves are stunners. Wait till late Autumn for masses of tiny pink flowers like clouds of smoke.
No. 6 The Wild Plum
The Wild Plum, also called American Plum, is an early Spring star! Abundant tiny white flowers open before the leaves emerge. They often grow along fencerows and roadsides.
Shop The Perfect Vase:
Both artful and functional sculptural ceramic vase by ceramic Artist, Monika Dabrowska-Picewicz.
"What I love about ceramic art is that it combines all the techniques together; sculpture, painting and drawing. At the same time, it’s also possible to make a useful object” she says. Dabrowska-Picewicz creates emotional images in which the solid form becomes an excuse to create colour and texture. On the surface of these organic forms, she experiments and examines the relationship between the materials. Sometimes it can be a laborious and meticulous process, while other times she just follows her intuition.
